Danceability is a diverse dance studio located in the heart of Saint John’s east side. Each year we serve over three hundred dancers, and at least seven competitive teams. Teaching tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, acro, and hip hop we strive towards providing our students with high quality instruction while creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
Danceability was established by Anne Stephen in September of 1997. Her love for dance was contagious and she was a mentor to so many in our community. Anne was all about community. If you crossed her path you became her family. She dedicated thirty years of her beautiful life to making everyone feel like they were special, heard, and appreciated. She loved her students, and they were her pumpkins, picking up the title of Mother Pumpkin along her way.
In September of 2018, Anne left us for a better place, and her daughter Heather is now the director of Danceability. Heather brings a futuristic flare to the studio and carries the same love for her students and passion for dance as her mom.
Committed to offering a safe and caring space for everyone, dance classes are structured and progressive throughout the year. Heather and her experienced team of instructors feel blessed to provide this honourable service.
To provide all students with the highest quality lessons, so they may establish a strong foundation in the classical styles of dance. Not only do we want our dancers to be strong and safe, we want them to really ENJOY dancing.
DANCE is LIFE and we want our space to lift you up, bring you together, and fill your heart with joy.
